Every update to Soul Care Dashboard, newest first. We build in the open and ship often, so check back anytime.
Your weekly hours cover the usual week, but life has exceptions. Add a date override to set different hours for a specific day, or mark yourself unavailable, and you can pick several dates at once. Overrides flow straight to your booking page, so clients only ever see the times that truly work. If a date you are changing already has a session booked, we show it to you first so nothing catches you by surprise.
Connecting Google Calendar, choosing which calendars to check for conflicts, and picking where new bookings land now sit right on your Availability page, next to your hours where they belong. Adding another Google account is one click away.
Refreshing the page used to send you back to the home screen. Now the dashboard remembers the page you were on and brings you right back to it.
Counseling is now organized around cases. A case is a whole situation, a marriage, a family, an individual in a season, and it holds the people involved, the counselors, any advocates and churches, who pays, the appointments, and case-level notes and documents. One person can be part of more than one case over time. Open a case for a single hub with everything in one place, and tag each case with a focus like anxiety, marriage, or grief.
Your people are now Contacts: one directory for clients, advocates, emergency contacts, and anyone else, each with a first, middle, and last name and one or more types (someone can be both a client and an advocate). Filter by type or find the people without a case, and see every case a person is part of. A person counts as an active client while they are in an active case.
When you book, you can attach the session to a case, or choose Consultation for a first meeting that is not yet a case. Your home dashboard now counts active clients by who is in an active case.
Alongside the session notes tied to each appointment, every case has its own general notes and documents for the situation-level things that do not belong to a single session.
Assign homework to a case and it goes to that case's clients, each tracked on their own. It shows in the case, and each client sees it in their portal to mark done.
Messages now work like texting. Message one person or a whole group, and everyone included sees the replies; clients answer from their portal. Threads live with the case, and the payer is never a recipient.
Add an advocate to a case's People as an "Advocate" and they get their own passwordless portal login, scoped to just that case's messages. They never see private case notes, homework, or invoices.
Clients now get an email reminder the day before and shortly before each session, in their own timezone, with the join link. Turn it on or off in Settings; clients can opt out from their portal. Minors' reminders go to their guardian.
Shrink the left menu to a slim icon rail for more room, with the item names on hover. Use the round toggle on the sidebar edge, or just drag it narrow. It remembers your choice, and tucks itself into the rail automatically on smaller screens.
A pass of visual polish: a larger logo, more breathing room at the top, the active menu item in your brand color, menu folders grouped in soft panels, tidier dropdown menus, and a matching profile card.
Set your organization's look in one place. Upload your logo and choose an accent color (buttons, highlights, and active items) and a sidebar color, and watch it preview live as you pick. The sidebar text, menu highlights, and your logo adjust automatically to stay crisp on whatever colors you choose. Everyone in your practice sees your branding, while other organizations keep the standard look.
Your home screen now opens with a clear overview: this week's sessions, active clients, and collections, today's schedule, a month calendar, and recent invoices. It is still yours to arrange, so you can drag cards to reorder them and add or remove them anytime.
Prefer Zoom? Connect your own Zoom account and choose whether new video sessions use Google Meet or Zoom. Either way, the right join link is added to the client's confirmation automatically.
Link several Google accounts at once, pick which of their calendars to check so your booking times steer clear of every conflict, and choose the one calendar that new sessions are added to.
Counselors and clients can now be anywhere. Each counselor sets their own timezone, and their booking page automatically shows every available time in the client's local timezone. Confirmation, reschedule, and reminder emails show the time in each person's own timezone too, so there's never any confusion about when a session actually is.
Admins set up each appointment type with its own session lengths (a consultation might be 30 minutes, a counseling session 50 or 90). Counselors then choose which types they offer and which lengths for each, and clients pick a type and a length when they book.
Admins can limit each appointment type to specific counselors, so a type like a free consultation can be offered only by certain people. By default every counselor can offer every type.
Admins can permanently remove a client and their counseling records when asked, while keeping the anonymized billing history your accounting needs. Part of an ongoing privacy and security review of the platform.
The dashboard now works out what each counselor is owed, automatically. Set your practice's revenue split once (with per-counselor and per-session overrides when needed) and every paid session is divided as the money lands. Counselors get a private My Earnings view; admins get a monthly payroll table with mark-as-paid and adjustments. Payouts stay with your own payroll system.
Every counselor gets a public profile page: photo, bio, areas of counseling, certifications, services, languages, location, and a book button, plus optional live stats (sessions completed and average rating, straight from their real records). Counselors manage it themselves, reorder or hide sections, and share one link.
The whole dashboard has a cleaner, more professional look: calmer colors, quieter cards, a refined sidebar, and one clear action color. Emails match the new style too.
A public page listing every update to the product, so you always know what's changed.
The standard consent and agreement texts were reviewed and polished for clarity.
Clients securely save a card during intake and counselors charge sessions with one click. Invoices reconcile automatically, and pay-what-you-can arrangements are fully supported.
Partner churches get their own sign-in to see members in care (only with each member's written consent), exchange messages with counselors, and receive church-only care updates. Session content is never shared.
Churches can deposit funds that cover their members' sessions. Balances draw down automatically, low-balance alerts go out, and nothing is ever charged without a clear decision.
Clients review and sign agreements right in the intake flow, with a drawn signature. Signed records are stored exactly as signed, and admins manage the form library.
Admins define the session types your practice offers, with duration, billing, and public availability per type. Free consultations stay free automatically.
Set your weekly hours (split ranges welcome, like 12 to 2 and 4 to 6), and your public booking page offers only times that truly work: existing sessions, buffers, notice windows, and even busy blocks from your Google Calendar are respected.
Guardian-managed accounts: the parent or legal guardian signs in, consents, pays, and receives all communication on the minor's behalf.
Include advocates in sessions, and let someone other than the client (a family member or a church) securely cover the bill with their own card.
An optional practice setting that invites clients to rate sessions and share feedback; admins see counselor averages.
Every client records an emergency contact during intake, visible on their page when it matters.
Create your own sidebar folders and arrange the menu your way, customize home widgets and stat tiles, and enjoy the refreshed look. Organizations can apply their own logo and colors for everyone in the practice.
One-step reschedule that keeps the video link and notifies everyone, duplicate-email warnings when adding clients, and a resend-invite button.
Client records, scheduling with a month calendar, session notes with supervisor review, homework and resources, secure messaging, a client portal, and a public booking page, all in one place built for biblical counselors.
No passwords to remember or leak: a one-time code arrives by email whenever you sign in.
Connect your Google Calendar and every session lands on it automatically, video sessions included, with a Google Meet link created and shared for you.
Booking requests, confirmations, cancellations, and welcome emails, all branded and delivered automatically.
We would love to show you how Soul Care Dashboard can help your ministry.
